The Aural Diary began in 1985. It was an attempt to capture fleeting experiences acoustically, in the same manner as a
camera does visually. Thus, the recordings are ‘audiographic’ memories of the past: sound imprints that, to my ears, evoke people, places, events, and things more vividly that moving and still images.
I’m a practitioner and an historian of sound and visual art from Wales.
